Next year in the rebuilt Jerusalem
This single line, the culmination of the entire Haggadah, is both prayer and promise. I have surrounded this phrase with a border of seventy Biblical versus each containing a different name of appellation for Jerusalem. Jerusalem, whose destiny id Shalom-wholeness, completeness, and peace among nations of the world.

PRICE: $250

4 Sons Print
The Haggadah refers to four different types of children: one wise, one wicked, one simple, and one who knows not how to ask.

Each child is unique, and the Torah embraces them all. The iconography I've chosen here is based on renaissance playing cards. As in a game of chance, we have no control over the children dealt us. It is our task as parents, as educators, to play our hand based on the attributes of the children we are given. It is the child, not the parent who must direct the process.

Artist's Books

The Binding of Isaac
This new work is based on an original piece of art which David produced for the Akiba Academy in Dallas, Texas. The work was a mural covering 45 feet of wall and depicted the biblical story of the binding of Isaac (Genesis 22) in a colorful pictographic form. Each person or entity in the story was rendered in its own color (God is Blue, Isaac is Red, Time is Yellow etc.) and drawn in such a way that, with a little practice, the whole story can be translated directly from the images. It was such a stunning and well received piece that we had to reproduce it.

We decided to make both a scroll form, like the original and an accordion book form. It is printed on fine acid free art paper with gliclee printing that is so dramatic that the images seem to leap off the page. We have presented it as a set consisting of the hand-made book, a hand-made booklet with David's commentary and guide, and a separate 12 by 12 inch giclee print of the final image of the piece.

PRICE (scroll form): $750
